L2DWG's Mission Statement
To teach the pupil to drive to the best of their ability, helping them become safe, well educated and responsible drivers thus reducing the likelihood of injuries and accidents. This will be achieved by providing a friendly, relaxed but professional instruction through an organised, individualised curriculum taking into account each pupil's individual learning style including recognising and understanding their strengths and challenges.
Each pupil will be provided with the necessary information and techniques to be a knowledgeable, safe and courteous driver. This will include providing help and direction with the theory test and assisting them to apply this knowledge into practise on the roads and will enable pupils to have had the proper training to obtain a British driver’s license in order to provide the motoring public with SAFE, RESPONSIBLE DRIVERS.
L2 DWG will:
• provide quality driver tuition and a professional customer service.
• endeavour to arrive at the appointed lesson time at least 90% of the time or offer an apology.
• endeavour to reply to text messages and calls from customers as soon as possible.
• provide one-to-one tuition and will not car share.
• offer an interactive recap of the previous lesson to set a base-line for tuition.
• state clear aims and objectives for the current lesson, so the pupil is in no doubt as to the purpose of the session and what they are trying to achieve.
• interactively summarise the lesson so the pupil is fully aware of their strengths and challenges and whether the objective was achieved.
• offer feedback and encouragement linked to specific areas of development.
• value and encourage the pupil's thoughts and feedback on their driving and learning experiences by taking an active role in every lesson.
• encourage and work with family members, as appropriate, to widen the driving experience for the pupil.
• teach in a relaxed, friendly and non-confrontational manner.
• keep the tuition vehicle in a reasonably clean and tidy condition that reflects the professional image of the driving school

The Theory Test
The theory test is computer-based.
You have 57 minutes to complete the test.
There is a 15 minutes practise session you can work through before starting the test.
There are 50 multiple choice questions and you need to get at least 43 correct to pass this part. Some of the questions are asked in a case study format.
The theory test case study will take the form of a scenario, or short story, on which five multiple choice questions will be based. Candidates will answer the questions in the normal way by clicking on the mouse.
Gary will be on hand at all times, for questions, guidance, and indeed any kind of help during your preparations for this test.
As part of your everyday driving lessons we will always be discussing and learning theory, and how it relates to your practical driving experience.
The pupils' safety is of paramount importance, which is why L2DWG will always take care in the choice of vehicle and any other equipment used whilst instructing. This season we are using Toyota Yaris (Manual and Automatic) and Dacia Sandero, Both fitted with He Man Dual Controls.

Pass Plus Courses
Pass Plus is a practical training course that takes at least 6 hours and is for drivers to improve their skills and drive more safely.
It can be taken at any time although it should be most useful to new drivers in the year after passing their test.
You’ll need a Pass Plus registered approved driving instructor (ADI) to teach you.
It may help you get a car insurance discount if you successfully complete the course.
How Pass Plus training works
Pass Plus training takes at least 6 hours.
It has 6 modules, covering driving:
-
in town
-
in all weathers
-
on rural roads
-
at night
-
on dual carriageways
-
on motorways
All modules should be practical sessions, although local conditions may mean some are theory based. You’ll normally spend at least 5.5 hours driving.
You will not take a test but you’ll be assessed throughout the course. To pass you’ll have to reach the required standard in all modules.
